A particular challenge for Fiddlehead Music Therapy was helping care providers (both family and professional) understand that music therapy is not hired entertainment. It is healthcare based on dynamic music experiences, therapeutic relationships, and a clinical understanding of neurological, physiological, communicative, and social-emotional functioning.
We spent some time talking about clients, their families, and care facilities to craft brochure content that communicates the empathy, science, and talent that goes into music therapy sessions. This piece is small enough to tuck into a purse or jacket pocket, yet substantial enough not to get lost on a desk. Authentic photos of real people receiving the benefits of music therapy really brought this brochure to life!
